Green Light Go Grant Announcement

GREEN LIGHT-GO GRANT AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT

BOROUGH OF BOYERTOWN

$687,949.00

 

 

The Borough of Boyertown is pleased to announce that it has received a Green Light-Go Grant to replace the traffic signals at Philadelphia and Reading Avenue, and Madison Street.  This grant will complete the traffic signal upgrades at all four Philadelphia Avenue signalized intersections in the Borough. 

 

            The funding will allow Boyertown to modernize aging signal equipment, improve traffic flow and enhance safety for motorists, pedestrians, and emergency responders.  The upgraded signals will meet current technology and safety standards, improving reliability at intersections that experience significant daily traffic. 

 

            Additional information regarding the project timeline and construction schedule will be shared as details are finalized. 

 

            The Borough thanks the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and PennDOT for its support and investment in local transportation projects.
