The shred event which was scheduled to be held at the Earthfest Event at the Community Park on Saturday, April 22nd did not take place due to an error on the part of the shred company.  The Borough of Boyertown and Gerhart, Hartman & Ritner, Company partnered to provide this service and we apologize for the inconvenience.  

A medication drop box is available in the main office of Boyertown Borough Hall for disposal of unused and expired medication.  The box is available during normal business hours.  Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has included Berks County in a drought watch; all citizens are asked to reduce water use by about 5 percent through voluntary conservation measures.  Drought Information can be found at www.dep.pa.gov

Trout Run Dam is currently at Stage 1 Drought Level; all customers are asked to reduce consumption by 5%.

The Borough of Boyertown is included in the PA Department of Agriculture Spotted Lanternfly Quarantine area.  For information visit the PDA website at www.pda.state.pa.us/spottedlanternfly
