   The 2017 Street Rehabilitation Project work will begin on Monday, August 21st, 2017. Rehabilitation work will be completed on the following streets:  North Monroe Street from East Fourth Street to the Borough Line; North Jefferson Street from East Fifth Street to Philadelphia Avenue; South Jefferson Street from Third Street to Second Street; East Third Street from Washington Street to Madison Street and West Sixth Street from Walnut Street to Schaeffer Street.  

The Disc Golf Course at the Boyertown Community Park will be closed on Saturday, September 2nd during the annual Duryea Day event held at the park.

The Boyertown Water Authority and Borough Council approved a water rate increase to be effective with the second quarter 2017 bills.  The water rates are as follows: First 3,000 gallons 20.75 minimum charge; next 297,000 gallons $5.49 per/1,000 gallons; all in excess of 300,000 gallons $4.40 per/1,000 gallons. 

A medication drop box is available in the main office of Boyertown Borough Hall for disposal of unused and expired medication.  The box is available during normal business hours.  Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has included Berks County in a drought watch; all citizens are asked to reduce water use by about 5 percent through voluntary conservation measures.  Drought Information can be found at www.dep.pa.gov

Trout Run Dam is currently at Stage 1 Drought Level; all customers are asked to reduce consumption by 5%.
